GLOBAL SLEEP SYMPOSIUM
TRANSFORMATIVE JOURNEY TOWARDS OPTIMAL SLEEP HEALTH
For the discerning traveler, a good night’s sleep is not a luxury, it is a necessity. The relentless demands of work, the constant hum of digital devices, and the ever-present allure of late-night screen time all conspire to disrupt our natural sleep-wake cycles, leaving us feeling drained and unfocused, and potentially leading to long-term sleep disruption.
Equinox Hotels presents a considered response: The Science of Sleep + Performance.
Returning on June 4th, 2026, this evolving Symposium moves beyond the traditional conference format into a highly curated evening experience. Imagine a confluence of cutting-edge research, the wisdom of leading experts, and immersive moments designed to deepen your understanding of rest and recovery. Set on the 24th floor, this year’s Symposium invites you to explore the powerful connection between sleep and performance in an intimate, elevated setting.
Day One: Embracing the Art of Repose
Upon arrival, immerse yourself in a meticulously crafted ambiance that fosters tranquility. Ease into your stay as the evening unfolds with the Global Sleep Symposium, held on the 24th floor Private Dining Room.
The experience begins with passed canapés and beverages, setting a refined and intimate tone. As the evening progresses, Dr. Matthew Walker opens the Symposium with a keynote discussion exploring sleep’s profound impact on performance, recovery, and overall well-being.
Day Two: Delving Deeper into the Science of Sleep
Awaken, restored, and take the morning at your own pace, allowing the insights from the evening before to settle in.
From 4:30 PM, the Symposium unfolds as a carefully paced evening experience. Guests are welcomed with passed canapés and beverages, creating space to arrive, connect, and transition into a more intentional rhythm.
As the program begins, Dr. Matthew Walker opens the evening with a keynote discussion, setting the foundation for a deeper exploration into the role of sleep in performance and recovery. The conversation then expands into a moderated panel featuring Eric Potterat, Kirk Parsley, and Emily Morse, where perspectives on resilience, physiology, and well-being are brought into dialogue, followed by an interactive Q&A with attendees.
Throughout the evening, moments of pause are intentionally woven into the experience. During these intervals, the newly introduced Expert Corner Series invites guests into smaller, more personal exchanges. Each speaker hosts a dedicated space, allowing for direct conversation, deeper insight, and a more tailored understanding of the topics explored.
As the evening transitions, the atmosphere softens. At 7:00 PM, Olu guides a closing sound bath, creating an immersive moment designed to integrate the experience through sound and stillness. The Symposium concludes at 7:45 PM, leaving a lasting sense of clarity and restoration.
This intimate evening experience is available for $200+tax per guest.
Day Three: Awakening Restored and Empowered
After a restful night, ease into the day with a renewed sense of clarity. Take time to move at your own pace, reflect, and carry forward the insights gained.
While the Symposium unfolds over a single evening, its impact extends far beyond, leaving you refreshed, rebalanced, and equipped with a deeper understanding of how sleep supports performance, recovery, and overall well-being—wherever your travels may lead.
