CEO Equinox Hotels

Equinox Hotels is led by a veteran in the field of hospitality, including 28 years with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, previously their President and COO. Chris has led a diverse group of talented individuals with years of cumulative luxury and lifestyle experience with expertise in sales, marketing, design, operations and real estate. He has a clear vision and has built a world class team who have the ability to execute flawlessly and be truly differentiated.

SVP GLOBAL HEAD HOTEL DEVELOPMENT

Shafi leads the brand’s global expansion and brings over 30 years of experience in global hospitality investment, strategic brand development and expansion for luxury lifestyle hotels, branded real estate, F&B and entertainment. He recently held the CDO position at Jumeirah and various executive development and operations roles at Caesars Entertainment, Taj and Wyndham Hotels. He has lived and worked in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

VP FOOD & BEVERAGE + SPA INNOVATION

Ara was corporate F&B Director at Rosewood Hotels, guiding 16 properties and holds a B.S degree in hospitality management from Les Roches, Switzerland. She began her hospitality career with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts holding senior management positions in F&B at The Pierre, The Beverly Wilshire, Four Seasons Denver. Ara was instrumental in working with the Wolfgang Puck team to launch the first Cut restaurant at the Beverly Wilshire.

JANE LUCKER

VP SALES

Jane serves in the capacity of VP of Sales for the team, overseeing the entire Sales Platform for the Hotel Brand. With over 25 years of Sales and Marketing experience, she has a proven history of creating targeted, innovative and results oriented sales and marketing teams and programs for iconic brands such as Omni, Ritz Carlton, Hilton, Bally’s, LaSalle Partners, Prudential, ReMax and the legendary Hotel Architect, John Portman. Jane is also a licensed Real Estate Broker.

A brand leader with 12 years of proven success in global marketing, branding and innovation leading to exponential growth in the areas of hospitality, technology and lifestyle brands. Recognized for a highly creative and strategic approach, Katie brings a unique and entrepreneurial approach to her work.

Nathan has opened and operated best in class hotels in the Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts portfolio, namely Singapore, Paris, Washington D.C, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Moscow and New York City. He brings over 20 years of hotel operations and union experience and has overseen multiple property openings, staffing and training that have been critical to the flawless Four Seasons service experience.

George Groen

Director of Hotel Development
George oversees the evaluation and underwriting of prospective Equinox hotels and resorts globally.
With over 10 years of experience in hotel acquisitions and development, corporate development and asset management, he has held key positions in M&A and Development at Caesars Entertainment and began his career in the hotel investment space at Colony Capital and Barings.
George holds an MBA from Cornell’s SC Johnson Graduate School of Management and a BS with a minor in real estate from the School of Hotel Administration, also at Cornell.

Assistant Director of Marketing
Tara brings over three years of progressive experience in brand strategy, marketing management, and communications within the luxury hospitality sector.
She earned her Master of Science in Global Hospitality Management from New York University, where she served as President of the Hospitality, Tourism, and Events Society, and holds a bachelor’s degree in International Business from UC San Diego.
She is also certified with the WSET Level 2 Award from the International Wine Center.
